I have a tradition of always carving a ghost...i dunno why, just do. :)
Why so serious??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Patrick!! :D
Lady Liberty Animal :D
Harry Potter himself :D
Cinderella
So....after four days, 3 carving knives, numerous blisters, several swollen fingers, and one infected hangnail (sorry everyone) I've finally completed my punkin carving. Sure it was kinda hard (lol, not really I cheated and used stencils), but it was totally worth it. I'm gonna try and get some pictures of the two punkins my dad carved with me tonight, he hooked a drill bit to his air compressor hose :D it was awesome!!!!
p.s. Statue of Liberty, Animal, Cinderella and Harry Potter were for my parents, so they didn't grace my sidewalk.
Night 2 of pumpkin carving is finished. I'm officially starting to get blisters on my right hand from using the carving tools....but look at my results and tell me that it's not totally worth it :D So 8 punkins down, only 8 more to go.....I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.
My bleeding heart liberal beliefs for the world to see.....
1 Count from Sesame Street eh, eh, eh, eh, eh
Edward Scissorhands
Dawn of the Dead
As you can tell from my previous post, I absolutely love Halloween. Give me two Halloweens and no Christmas and I'd be just fine. I've decided as much as I love costumes, I do believe that carving jack-o-lanterns is my favorite part of the holiday. This year I'm undertaking the task of 16 pumpkins, which I will post as I get them finished. Here are the four that I finished tonight.
80'S Trailer Trash :D note the bright pink lipstick, bright blue eyeshadow, abundance of blush and one slammin barrette (which my cousin marie actually made in the 80's).
Goth/Grunge Rocker:D complete with heavy black eye makeup, pasty white face, dark dark lipstick and fake lip ring.
Which one would you choose for me to wear to work and which one for the church halloween party? Suggestions?
my parents truck all covered in snow, seeking refuge in my garage.
my driveway.....before i spent an hour and all my energy cleaning that beast off.
an artsy shot of the snow falling with my roof in the background.
*sigh* that would be the freezing, sad remains of my once proud rose garden.
the fruits of my labors :D
So how much did everybody else love waking up to like 4 inches of snow this morning???? Yeah, it only got worse as i sat in church, and by the time i got home I had a good six inches of snow to clean off the ole driveway. Good times, good times. I hope everybody realizes that this means mother nature is screwing with us for fun and giggles, just watch, you'll see, it'll be like 75 degrees for Christmas. *sigh*
So here's what happened at work today when I was using a very very very sharp butcher knife and not paying close enough attention to what I was doing. *sigh* I guess I'm not gonna get that PBS cooking show anytime soon.
